I service, repair, and sell antique watches with a particular focus on key-wind models from the American Civil War era.
On a case-by-case basis, I accept repair and restoration work. A routine cleaning starts at $90. I can make, or source, most parts including parts for English lever fusee's.
My name is Brett Gibbons and I've been restoring vintage watches since 2012, including a five-year period as a professional full-time watchmaker, but mostly as an exceptionally rewarding and satisfying hobby. Today, I restore watches part-time from my little shop in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, alongside my primary business Paper Cartridges LLC.
Doing part-time watch repair allows me to be selective and only take on the work I enjoy. This means I focus on vintage pocket watches from the Civil War era, and especially English fusee movements.
I am open most Saturdays from 1-6pm, unless I am at Reserve drill.
Always closed Sundays.
Weekdays: by appointment, or chance (I am often in the shop working)
